Okay, some backstory, seeing as I created this religion and it is yet to gain mre followers:
The story of Ultima: Once, there were many elemental deities constantly fighting. One night, each deity gave off an aura to represent their element. The auras combined and gave rise to three powerful deities in turn: Ultima, Zodiark, and the Goddess of the Aura. Ultima ruled the above-world, Zodiark, the underworld, and Aura, the World of the Mist (now called Earth). Even though the religion is called Ultimanism, the real Chief Deity is the Goddess of the Aura.
As for the afterlife, I believe that one's Aura is copied and preserved forever and the copy is changed to become the life energy of another Human. My theory on the end of the world: One day, another war amongst the gods will break out. The Goddess of the Aura, knowing her time has come, will send all preserved Auras back to Earth so as to stabilize the core...but it's too late. The Earth freezes over, killing all sentient life, except for the absorbed Auras. Those Auras will start the new world, each contributing to a Natural Force (wind/air, earth, water, fire, etc.). Eventually, Corruption will take its roots once more into our hearts... Ultimana Hamayana (May Ultima guide you.) |
